OUR Story & MISSION
In 2013, our founder Bonney Parker, formed the community garden as an outreach program of the Unitarian Universalist Ocean County Congregation. Their goal was to create a garden that would grow and provide fresh produce to needy families in Ocean County. Along the way the Garden formed into a community that grew into what we are today.
We now grow over 2,000 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables each year. This abundance, including fresh cut flowers, is donated to several Food Pantries in our area, who in turn provide it free to the community. We are also developing an Apiary that will soon be providing honey as well.
We have 50 beds that are rented to our members for thier own private enjoyment.
